Our company was founded in 1996 as part of the far-reaching restructuring process of the East German and Thuringian economies by spin-off of the Department of Optical Coordinate Measuring Technology from the Research Center of Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH. In addition to the sophisticated technical equipment, JENAer Meßtechnik GmbH was able to take on extensive ZEISS know-how, in particular the right to use several patents.
